Hello everyone!

A big THANK YOU ! to all of you that participated in, as well as our event sponsors of, the Geo Golf’s 34th annual golf tournament this past November in Cathedral City.

As both Desert Princess and Doubletree by Hilton provided us with a great tournament and stay and they want us back, we have contracted with them for the next two years!  This year we will be celebrating the Geo Golf’s 35th anniversary – can you believe it?

This tournament is still going strong because of our geothermal-related industry partners and their guests.  Desert Princess and Doubletree by Hilton will once again host our tournament; however, due to the prior hotel commitments, we have to change our dates to the first weekend in November —  Nov 2-5, 2023.

Sponsorship opportunities should be posted in late March on our website and Registration should begin in May.  If you are a newcomer and wish to be notified, please fill out the contact form on our website.

Lastly, our heartfelt condolences go out to the families of two very longtime members of the Geo Golf family:

Mark Chastain, who unexpectedly passed away right after New Year’s.  Mark was a long-time Cal Energy employee as well as participating in our tournament for years.  His craziness and jokes, hats he wore always (didn’t know he was bald) and his smile will be greatly missed.

Dave Wyler, who worked for/retired from Ethos Energy Field Group and Geo Golf committee member, passed away in May of cancer.  Dave was a beautiful person inside and out and such a friendly guy.  He asked if he could participate in this past tournament and his words to us afterwards were “thank you for allowing me to golf with you all one last time – I had a great time!    He will be truly missed.

The Cause

The Geo Golf provides scholarships to the dependents of tournament participants that are pursuing their education. It is important that we acknowledge the efforts of these students in achieving their goals and dreams. Scholarships are funded by this tournament’s raffle sales so we thank everyone who participates as you are the reason we can provide these scholarships.
